Climb onto the N3 highway and stay on this road until you approach Durban. Once through the Marianhill Toll Plaza, look out for the Pavilion Shopping Centre on your right. Once past this, keep to the left-hand lane as you will be bleeding off left from N3, onto the N2 North Coast.

Umhlanga Rocks is well sign posted on the N2.  At the 'Umhlanga Exit' from N2, keep right and at the traffic light (top of the off-ramp) turn right and get into the middle lane. Pass the entrance for 'Gateway' and take the very next off-ramp for Umhlanga. Turn left. You will now be on Umhlanga Ridge Drive and should be able to see the sea on your right.

Continue straight at the first roundabout.  Immediately after, you will see Umhlanga Hospital on your left. Move into the right hand lane, ready for the next roundabout, which will take you down the hill toward the Ocean and Umhlanga Village.
